In the city and needed some breakfast! I think they have the best Juevos Ranchero I’ve ever had! The Steak and eggs were also cooked perfectly, and they had fresh squeezed orange juice. Service was also very good! Will definitely be coming back :)

This was our first time here. I had the Classic Breakfast with the burger patty with biscuits and gravy. My husband had the Pancakes with a side of sausage. The food was very good. Service was great. Will definitely be coming back.

The service was very friendly and everyone was very nice. The food was great, I had the Big Sky Country French toast. The French toast was fresh and pretty. I also like how clean the place was and the tables were not sticky. Can’t wait to try other food items

Awesome new restaurant with good staff and great food. I enjoyed the wide variety of breakfast and lunch options, but it wasn’t too much where you get overwhelmed. I ordered the tri-tip mushroom melt and it was delicious. The fries that came with it were cooked to perfection! We also tried the short stack of pancakes and the classic biscuit basket which had great biscuits and jelly. The restaurant itself is set up next with a large amount of seating and even though it was fairly busy our food came out quick! Definitely recommend coming here!

A delightful replacement for the old Lunch Pail some locals might remember. The Biscuit Basket delivers exactly what you'd expect from a modern comfort brunch spot, traditional, homemade breakfast and lunch dishes that feel a few steps above your standard diner fare. The coffee was excellent and paired perfectly with the cinnamon roll, which came absolutely smothered in frosting (not mad about it). Sweet, rich, and just restrained enough to not go overboard. The Classic Breakfast with three eggs, whole wheat toast, and home fries was spot on. Everything tasted fresh, cooked with care, simple, satisfying, and not greasy. Prices are definitely on the higher side for breakfast (-1 star), especially compared to the old school spots it replaced, but the quality, service and experience somewhat justify it. Overall, we left full and happy

I ate here in January and said it was the best pancake I’ve ever had, and I finally made it back again today. Now that I have been here twice I can confidently say it is the best pancake I’ve ever had. The food tastes great and it is such a pleasant atmosphere. The staff are so kind, Kelsi our server provided excellent service. We will definitely be back.

What a GEM of a place. This is a bit buried back in the business park on Bangs a couple doors down from Called 2 Arms. We didn't even know it existed until we went down Bangs Ave off McHenry by mistake. Anyway, my wife and i love a good breakfast joint once in a while and this morning we dropped the kids off at school and had a couple hours to ourselves; shocking I know! LOL. We went right over to the Biscuit Basket and boy were we surprised. Upon walking in we didn't know what to expect but it wasn't what we saw when we got there. The "little" place is not so little inside and it was bustling with customers. We were immediately greeted by a server/hostess with a smile and delightful attitude. She seated us and we were immediately asked for a drink order. (Whatever coffee they serve, it is delish!) We perused the menu and made our choices. Wifey almost went with their signature chicken fried steak bfast but decided to be a creature of habit when she found out they had New York steak and eggs! HA; so surprising. I built my own omelette; sausage, ham, onion, and jack cheese in case you were curious. Both came with home fries (more to come here) and our choice of toast or biscuit. How could you visit the "Biscuit Basket" for the first time and NOT have a biscuit, right? RIGHT! Food came out swiftly and boy we were amazed. My wife took a bite of the "home fries" (look like a scalloped potato or potatoes au gratin) and oooooh my! Those were so good, no need for salt or pepper here; I’m the die hard salt and pepper guy so yes I jumped the gun but the seasoning was perfecto! Her steak was phenomenal as well. As for my omelette, well nothing to be ashamed of here either. It was so tasty and juicy, cheese melted perfectly and the meat was great. Despite the simplicity of the thing, it was out of this world let me tell you. So now you're wondering about the biscuits right? Hey this guy made a big deal of the biscuits and name, how were they? Well DUH, just as amazing as the rest of the meal!. Great flavor and texture, no gravy, only butter needed here and definitely without a doubt, HOMEMADE! If you have read this long, what are you waiting for? Head down to the biscuit basket and grab you a hearty breakfast! We can't wait to head back and try their lunch menu! Bon Appetit! Ok update here; the tri tip hash and chicken fried steak were absolutely delish! Lots of flavor and huge portions.

Great food, cute decor and friendly service! The biscuits were so good we took some home. The owner and chef have connections to the old Mallards restaurant which we loved to visit. We will be back!
